A New Blog.....

Am I nuts???? I don't need another blog. However, I have been thinking about a quilting blog for sometime to post my current projects and to also go back and create an on-line diary of my past projects. Perhaps if I aim for getting one old project or group of projects per week chronicled on here, I won't regret starting this. Definitely not a "post every day" blog!I've been working on learning to applique and this is my second butterfly and flower. I like the flower a lot....except I think the stem is too short....and the butterfly turned out better then I expected. The background is not permanant. I don't know if I will border it like the previous butterfly or do something different. Still thinking!

Congratulations on your new blog. I plan on showing my quilts on my newest blog also, Happenstance House, although it won't be dedicated to quilts only.
You are doing amazingly well at applique if you are new at it.
I love the freedom applique can give.
I'll check in once in a while and see how you are doing.

I know what you mean when you need space to share your own personal projects and interests and this blog will be one I will visit often. When I had started my new one recently I felt the need to expand beyond the nature world and give my voice to other interests I have too.

Congratulations on this blog that I know will be full of interesting things.

Your butterfly and flower are beautiful!

Jane Marie: Thanks! I'm still very awkward at many parts of the applique process. I have a lot of trouble with these butterflies and getting the wings on straight and everything covered up that should be. The flower was easier and I was pleased with it.

Ann: I can tell you understand. My original blog was never meant to be just a nature blog, but is so much that now, that it is hard to post other stuff....and not everyone is interested in the quilt stuff.

I love this Mary. That butterfly did turn out beautifully.

Joan: Thanks! It will be fun to blog something a little different right now. This will be mostly for me....just cataloging my quilt projects and getting good pictures take of them plus information on when I made them or why.

I have thought of doing a separate quilting blog, but decided instead to at least post some quilts on my blog. I've been doing that with ABC Wednesday this round.

Katney: I will probably still put some quilting in my other blog, but this one is my chance to really chronicle all my past projects for my own benefit. I have small picture albums, but this gives me another place to keep the information. Will have to search your blog for your quilt posts!
