This is gorgeous! I'm sorry it took me so long to check it out! I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you always checking my quilting blog, and here I am dropping the ball!
Not too crazy about paper piecing. You mentioned you have some pineapple squares done that way. There was a woman in my old Quilt Bee who paper pieced the most amazing squares of birds! They were wonderful! That was the only time I wished I didn't have a negative attitude about paper piecing. It's an old fashioned method, and I am usually all about older ways of doing things. Don't know what turned me off to it. I would LOVE to see your pineapple squares some time too. I bet putting them together into a quilt will be easier than what I'm about to do! :-)
